Imagination Solo is a self-choreographed solo competition where dancers create and perform their own original routines. Available exclusively at Nationals and select cities, this platform celebrates individual creative vision — one dancer, one concept, one stage.
Highlights
Rules & Guidelines
Open to all registered convention attendees. Dancers must have at least one competing solo entry to be eligible for Imagination Solo.
Each dancer may enter only one Imagination Solo. The solo must be both choreographed and performed by the same dancer.
3 minutes maximum per routine.
Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior divisions. Divisions follow standard Intrigue age division rules.
Adjudications include audio critiques and scores sent through the studio portal. Results are not announced on site. National finalists are announced at the Gala per age division.
Imagination Solo entries are not eligible for the Gauntlet at Nationals.
